Audi RS 5 Honored with Men’s Journal ‘Gear of the Year’ Award

2013 Audi RS 5 Men’s Journal is a popular magazine that features guides to men’s health, fitness, style, food, and adventure. Every year, experts at Men’s Journal test new products in various categories including apparel, fitness, automotive, and technology to compile their list of ‘Gear of the Year’. Hundreds of products are test, but only the best of the best make it onto the list. The lust-worthy 2013 Audi RS 5 was recently honored in the magazine’s December 2012 issue with a ‘Gear of the Year’ award.

“Consumers are clearly responding to the outstanding performance, elegant styling and athletic identity of the Audi RS 5. Nearly all RS 5 models have already sold since it was introduced in August of this year,” said Scott Keogh, President, Audi of America. “We are thrilled to have been honored by Men’s Journal with a 2012 ‘Gear of the Year’ award, a testament to the design and power of the RS 5.”

The Audi RS 5 was selected for its “athletic design, high-end performance, practical drivability and class-leading fuel efficiency.” The 2013 RS 5 is powered by a 4.2-liter direct-injected V8 engine producing 450-horsepower. Electric power steering and the all-wheel-drive system keep this aggressive sports coupe consistent and taut on the road. Fuel efficiency is at EPA estimated figures of 19 mpg city and 30 mpg highway.
