Audi Shines on Edmunds’ Poll of Best Luxury Roadsters

Audi R8

It’s easy to boast about being a luxury automaker when you have the style and performance to back it up. Audi is able to do just that. As the only manufacturer to feature two models on Edmunds’ Consumers’ Favorites Poll of Best Luxury Roadsters, Audi is raising the bar in providing consumers with an intoxicating blend of sharp design cues and ample amenities.

Taking the second overall spot on the poll is the 2012 Audi R8. The R8 is praised for its excellent steering, braking, and handling, as well as its luxuriously comfortable interior. Under the hood of the Spyder model you’ll find a 10-cylinder engine capable of producing 525 horsepower. Convenience features include a rear parking aid, auto-off headlights, leather wrapped steering wheel with controls, rain sensing wipers, a trip computer, auxiliary audio input, satellite radio, an MP3 player, and a premium sound system. A navigation system, wireless cell phone hookup, and climate control are also included.

Also making the cut is the 2012 Audi S5 Cabriolet. The 3.0-liter supercharged V6 engine employs 333 horsepower and 325 lb-ft of torque. Features include a windblocker, 12-way power S sport front seats, rear LED map lights, satellite radio, a color driver information system, and rain/light sensors for automatic windshield wipers and headlights.
