Today is the launch of the iPad3 and in honor of the launch, we wanted to take an inside look at the trend of iPads and how you can get used to seeing them in cars quite soon. At the Geneva Motor Show, Audi made it quite clear that iPad will be a part of their vehicles.
iPad docks will be in the back seats of the entire lineup in the future. For now, the Audi A6, A7, A8, and Q7 models in the U.S. and Europe will be having the iPad docks. With technology becoming such a major component for people, automakers are adjusting to their needs. Business workers and everyday people alike want to utilize the technology in the car.
“I think it would be pretty cool for kids, the whole family. Kind of like the next step from DVDs,” Adam Fein of Brooklyn said.
“I could definitely see a lot of business people wanting that. The main use of it is to get in contact with the office,” Shawn Breen said, explaining why iPad integration into cars would be appealing.
Another goal would be to allow owners to pay for a fee to turn the car into a hotspot, allowing for high-speed internet for all users in the vehicle. Stay tuned for more!
