Audi is looking to make a splash in 2012, bringing three new models to the market in the newest dimension of Audi efficiency. Audi has an announced an impressive $17 billion will be invested in the business by 2016, focusing on electric mobility.
The new vehicles to usher in the electric age of Audi in 2012 will be the Audi A8 hybrid, Audi R8 E-Tron, and the next-generation Audi A3.
“We are aiming to achieve strong growth on an international scale and boost our lightweight construction and electric mobility areas of expertise in particular,” said Thomas Sigi, Audi AG member of the board of management for human resources.
With Audi planning three big electric models, hiring 1,200 new workers for 2012, as well as a record-setting 2011 sale season, 2012 is looking to be quite a big one for Audi.
